Jason Everson experienced the thrill of solo flight on August 8. After three near-perfect landings with his instructor, Keith Williams, authorizing documents were signed and Jason was sent on his way!

As is normal on a first solo, Jason stayed in the circuit, performed two quite respectable touch-and-go landings, then brought his smile in for well-deserved congratulations from his instructor and PS Air's friendly staff.

Jason is a software engineer at Rockwell Collins. His progress during primary flight training benefited from his having already competed the To-Fly program offered by his employer.

Most of his training and the solo flight were made in a Piper Warrior, shown here following Jason's first touch-and-go landing.

Jason flies out of PS Air at the Cedar Rapids airport. They offer flight instruction, airplane rental, pilot services, charter, fuel, and maintenance.
